Zoom on the "Retirement Factory" project

« AUSY au cœur du project Usine Randraite »
Interview with Eric Debuisson, Director of the Centre-West Department

« The AUSY Group is at the heart of the Retirement solution in France. Through the" Retirement Factory" project, our engineers have been working since 2004 with all of the Social Protection organisms in France to build our retirement system of tomorrow. The deployment is on the horizon for 2011.»

What is the “Retirement Factory» project ?
« The ”Retirement Factory” is an IT project in charge of building the future common tool for the management of supplementary pension funds in France. 26 social protection groups, including no less than 36 ARRCO institutions and 23 AGIRC institutions, decided to unite in 2004 to build together a new IT management solution. »

What were the motivations at the origin of this project ?
« At the beginning, each AGIRC ARRCO federation possessed their own IT system, adapted to their own management. Such that none of them was conceived for communicating easily with the others.

The disposition relative to the right to information (FILLON law 2003) and the need to obtain a global and complete vision of the subscriber’s' career lead to the launching of this ambitious program :
the complete mutualisation of all their IT means.

The pappy-boomers reaching retirement age was another determining element, and not the least: it was urgent for them to optimise the management and the productivity of the IT tools used. »

What approach was adopted for this project ?
« The 49 retirement organisms opted for a community approach. The future system was divided into 6 functional bodies, referred to as "bricks", that were defined and afterwards attributed to 6 IT platforms in charge of developing them: the nominative declaration, contributions collection, subscriber management , management of entitlements, contribution payments and transversal services. »

What is the AUSY Group's role for the project ?
« For the past several years now, we have been working with 5 of the 6 GIE (Economic Interest Grouping) in charge of constructing this new information system in France. Around 70 AUSY engineers are working or have worked both on the different bricks and at the same time on the integration phases and the validation of the different software components. The deployment is on the horizon for 2011."

What are the advantages the AUSY Group brings to this project?
« Indisputably, our experience and our knowledge of the Insurance sector. The AUSY Group has now become an important player, indeed one of the most renown, in the personal insurance sector, be it in the area of supplementary pensions, provident funds or healthcare and IARD ( Fire, Accidents, Divers Risk)

We have now entered the home stretch on the "Retirement Factory" and we are very happy to have grabbed the opportunity to work on such an overall project and of the future!»
