Human Resources are at the heart of the action and development of the Group

« Our collaborators are our best ambassadors. If the AUSY Group demands the best from them, they have the right to expect the greatest consideration on our part. Which implies training, personalised follow-up, professional evolution and personal fulfilment in their workplaces » Didier Lichtensteger, Operational Human Resources Director

Recruitment

« The quality of our recruitment is one of the keys to our success » Marianne Facon, Head of Internal Growth

Recruitment at AUSY is :

 10 000 new candidates interview / year
11 engineering school partners in Paris and the Regions
30 in charge of recruitment in Paris and the Regions

Objective : 600 engineers to be recruited in 2010

AUSY has done everything to attract and mobilise the best talents. Our partnerships with engineering schools enables us to respond to our clients' demands for high qualifications, by recruiting the best adapted skills. We are developing accomplished relationships with over 10 Grandes Ecoles in Paris and the Regions and following up on these partnerships. We intervene regularly in their training programs so that the students benefit from our network of experts (development of practical cases and technical theme cases on the operational level ) and to inform students of the opportunities within the Group.

We favour recruitment and hiring in the provinces because this allows us to match in real time the profiles being looked for and to propose to consultants, project managers or technical directors that we recruit real opportunities in their region. In this way we support the development of opportunities and labour pools in the regions. AUSY participates in numerous recruitment forums and student events all over France.

The Recruitment process

Recruitment is decentralised in each Operational Department and each region.  This way we privilege a flexible and reactive structure for our teams and also for the candidates, who quickly learn of their opportunities.

Recruitment at AUSY follows an innovative process : it guarantees the candidate the best valorisation of his/her technical skills while assuring the best selection. 3 steps, one of which is a technical test, allowing us to judge a candidate's value and validate the adequacy of his/her profile to the job offered.

Each manager is involved in the process, right up to the highest level of the management team.

Integrating the Group

« Our collaborators are our first preoccupation and are the object of a personalised follow-up by several persons within the Group. » Didier Lichtensteger, Operational Human Resources Director

The manager : Once hired, each new engineer joins a manager's team. This manager becomes responsible for his/her career evolution and attributes to the engineer projects in function with their skills and geographical zone. Interviews and regular follow-up are going to enable them to measure together the engineer's progress dynamic, their ambitions and set up adapted professional evolution programs.

The site Manager : Each engineer that begins on a new project is received by a sponsor, the person in charge of the site, who conducts, without direct superior status, the team of AUSY consultants present at the Client's site. This site manager will be his referent for all his requests and will give him the keys to the Group's functioning. These site managers have a privileged access to information. They therefore show themselves to be the best interlocutors for collaborators based outside the AUSY offices.

The HR coordinator: Each engineer is entrusted to the care of a HR coordinator, also detached from a direct superior hierarchy, who assures exchanges and the coordination of information between the collaborators and the structure. Thanks to them, the Group regularly organises branch meetings (quarterly) at the different clients' sites, in AUSY offices or during festive events. These meetings often take place in the evening and represent privileged moments for getting to know the other teams, the management and the HRD. Their objective is to favour a climate of confidence and conviviality and quite simply relaxation after a day's work.

During inter-contract periods, the Group applies itself to implicating all available engineers in responding to calls to tender and WorkPackage projects : this way they can work on projects outside their habitual perimeter, with different client constraints or environments, which enables them to progress in their skills and gain experience and added value.

The network of experts: The Group also runs a network of AUSY experts, transversal to the different activities, in order to facilitate to a maximum the transfer of skills internally.

This web of relations that the Group establishes with its collaborators at different levels guarantees a hand-on follow-up : it enables us to continually measure their satisfaction and guarantees a strong social link with the Group.

Mobility

The AUSY Group encourages and favours mobility under 2 axis :
Geographical mobility, promoter of « best practices » and exchanges,
Professional mobility, thanks to the development of skills and know-how assured by AUSY University.

Our presence over all of France enables us to respond to demands for geographical mobility. Missions in foreign countries also present themselves regularly for candidates interested in momentary expatriation..

The passage between technical positions to business positions is frequent at AUSY, which opens up new career perspectives for the Group's collaborators.

Lastly, the Group guarantees its consultants a constant training and evolution dynamic thanks to the technical channels for management and personal development that we have put in place: AUSY University. They are trained by experts, with wide experience and familiar with advanced methods and technologies..

Become an AUSY manager
Succeeding and progressing as an AUSY manager is a very attractive calling card : it highlights a know-how, skills and rational qualities recognised by our clients and by most of the professionals in the sector. AUSY managers are responsible for developments in branches divided up geographically or by sector. The "customized" training they follow from the moment they join AUSY constitutes one of the strengths of our Group.

Combining a sense of responsibility and the determination to undertake, our managers develop our business offer with the biggest European players in the Industry and Services sectors. The autonomy that is given them in the steering of operations at their branch is a sizable advantage in favour of the Group's development. This way their energy is spent on the expansion of their activities.

Their role does not stop at the business function however. They also assume the recruitment of new talent, and managing and leading their teams; which implies combining the engineers' and consultants' desires with the clients' needs in the best possible way. Thus they must be very attentive to their collaborators' desire for evolution and professional training.

Our managers come for the best European technical and business training. They follow 3 months of practical training focused on return on experience and conducted by the Group's leadership.

Each "graduating class" includes very different profiles, coming from technical or business training following a first successful professional experience; with a constant: they all want to invest themselves in the business development of a growing company.

Many AUSY consultants, moreover, make the choice of joining the team of AUSY managers and are regularly integrated in these "graduated teams".
Throughout their career, the AUSY managers are accompanied by AUSY University, for the acquisition of skills and know-how indispensable to the right steering and development of their activity.
